The UAE has announced 479 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, bringing the total tally to 40,986.
That's according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHaP), which revealed that it has conducted more than 45,000 tests nationwide.
Meanwhile 1,217 patients have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 25,234.
Two patients have died due to complications related to the virus. The death toll is now 286.
This means that there are currently 15,466 active cases in the country.
