A Palestinian man with multiple fractures on his right leg and arm has undergone a critical surgery at the UAE Floating Hospital in Egypt's Al Arish.
A team of specialised doctors are now monitoring his recovery, taking crucial step to prevent further complications and helping him regain mobility under a detailed physio therapy programme.
Speaking to national news agency Wam, Dr. Ali Saeed Al Kaabi, Director of the UAE Floating Hospital, added that the patient is also being provided with necessary psychological and humanitarian support during his recovery.
The UAE Floating Hospital was set up in February 2024, as part of the Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, to provide critical care to wounded Palestinians who are unable to fly out for treatment. It is overseen by an Emirati team and has a capacity of 100 beds, along with an additional 100 beds for patient companions.
The hospital comprises operating rooms for all types of surgeries, intensive care and anaesthesia units, fully-equipped outpatient clinics, supporting medical services, X-ray facilities, as well as a pharmacy and laboratory, ensuring that it provides comprehensive treatment to its patients and beneficiaries.
