The final piece of the UAE's Hope Probe destined for Mars has been signed by Dubai's Crown Prince.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council is also the General Supervisor of The Hope Probe.
During a meeting with the Emirates Mars Mission team, Sheikh Hamdan said the project reflects the UAE's efforts in empowering people to build the present and the set the path for the future.
He also called upon local and Arab youth to continue their scientific journey and work hard to contribute towards the future of humanity.
The final piece of the probe has already been signed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as well as His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
It also includes the names of UAE Supreme Council, their signatures as well as signatures of crown princes.
The probe is set to blast off for the Red Planet this year in a historic mission for the Emirates.
It will take seven to nine months to reach Mars and will arrive in the same year the UAE celebrates its 50th anniversary since unification.
