Passengers who travelled on an Etihad flight from Abu Dhabi to Dublin on March 9 are being asked to contact health authorities in Ireland after a case of measles was confirmed.
The Irish Public Health Agency first announced they had been "made aware of a confirmed case of measles" in a resident who travelled on Etihad Airways flight EY045 last Saturday.
Passengers on the flight have been urged to look out for signs and symptoms of measles, especially those at high risk - pregnant women, people who are immunocompromised and babies - to contact health authorities.
In a statement sent to ARN News, Etihad Airways said they are "following procedures and guidelines specified by the relevant health authorities".
They added that "as per government guidelines, all close contact tracing will be carried out by the respective authority".
The airline added that the safety and wellbeing of its passengers and crew is its "number one priority".
The Irish Public Health Agency said treatments will work best if given within the next few days.
