Two new COVID-19 testing facilities have been opened for workers in Abu Dhabi's Musafah industrial area.
The new facilities primarily target blue-collar workers who have got in contact with previously confirmed cases of COVID-19.
They also test those who suffer from chronic diseases, as well as the elderly over the age of 50.
Operating from 7.00 a.m. to 5.00. p.m., they include mobile clinics which are well equipped to deal with emergency cases.
There are also ambulances on standby to transport cases that may need additional tests at other medical facilities, according to national news agency WAM.

"The new facilities aim to ensure the safety of all those working in the industrial areas, including all nationalities, in order to ensure early detection of coronavirus and provide them with all necessary care," according to Dr Khloud Al Dhal'i, Director of the Health Centres Department.
She added that all the medical personnel working at the two testing facilities get tested for the virus on a weekly basis, while the centres are being disinfected on a daily basis.
The Security Media Department at the Ministry of Interior is also continuing efforts to improve workers' awareness of the COVDI-19 pandemic in various languages, urging them to get tested as part of the precautionary measures being taken in the country level to bring the virus under control.
