An updated circular issued by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi says anyone going to a business or entertainment event must have a COVID-19 PCR test 48 hours prior to attending.
In addition, staff and event organisers in the emirate must undergo the tests every week.
It's also mandatory for venue staff and contractors to install the Al Hosn App.
Visitors, exhibitors and delegates will have to fill in registration forms with their contact details in case of emergencies.
Business events are limited to 50 per cent capacity, while entertainment events are restricted to 30 per cent.
The Authority stressed that tourism outlets, hotels and events will be inspected regularly to verify compliance.
