As many as 112,000 food parcels costing AED 13.4 million will be distributed to "beneficiaries" in the UAE.
It's after the '100 Million Meals' campaign, the biggest food drive in the region, entered into a partnership with the UAE Food Bank to help those in need within the country.
Each parcel will weigh 42 kg of basic food items and can support one person for 30 days.
Nearly 1,000 volunteers, in cooperation with the UAE Food Bank’s staff, will help prep and distribute the meals while fully adhering to the COVID-19 safety measures.
Since its launch in April, the '100 Million Meals' campaign successfully doubled its goal and collected enough donations to provide 216 million meals.
