The UAE has sent 27 ambulances in the second shipment to support the health sector in Ukraine.
The ambulances were received at the UAE Embassy in Poland, which has made significant efforts to "facilitate the process of transferring UAE aid from Poland to the Ukrainian port," a statement by national news agency WAM read.
Earlier, the country sent 23 ambulances, taking the total number to 50 in the year 2023.
Meanwhile, Majid bin Kamal, Director of Humanitarian Support and Aid at the Office of International Affairs at the Presidential Court, said more "winter aid" is set to arrive in Ukraine this month.
Since the war broke out, the UAE has provided relief aid, including $100 million worth of support, to help those impacted in Ukraine.
An air bridge was also launched, which sent 12 planes carrying about 714 tonnes of relief supplies, basic foodstuff and medical materials, 2,520 generators, 2,500 laptops and 10,000 school bags.
The UAE also sent relief aid via air and sea to Poland, Moldova, Bulgaria and Romania before transporting it into Ukraine.
