A UAE aid ship carrying 1,000 tonnes of food and other essential supplies arrived in Port Sudan on Friday.
The relief items will support those who have been affected by the current situation in Sudan, which has led to to the displacement of thousands of families and a shortage of basic foodstuff.
The UAE has already dispatched more than 540 tonnes of food and emergency medical supplies via 14 aircraft, and the latest shipment brings the total amount of aid provided to Sudan to 1,540 tonnes.
Since the beginning of the conflict in Sudan, the UAE has enabled the evacuation of 997 people, and is currently hosting citizens of around 26 different countries who were evacuated from the African nation.
