The repercussions of the Israel and Hamas war have been at the forefront of discussions between the UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs and his Portuguese counterpart.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and João Gomes Cravinho particularly focused on the humanitarian impact.
During the call, Sheikh Abdullah emphasised the significance of enhancing regional and international efforts to calm the situation and combat escalating violence in the region.
He also highlighted the importance of protecting and preserving civilian lives.
The UAE Foreign Minister also underscored the urgency of bolstering humanitarian responses to address the needs of the people in Gaza to alleviate their suffering.
Furthermore, the two ministers delved into bilateral relations and explored avenues for cooperation across various economic, commercial, and developmental realms.
Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Portuguese Republic across diverse fields to serve both nations' mutual interests and support their developmental aspirations and visions for sustainable economic prosperity.
