UAE petrol prices to go up in May

Motorists in the UAE will continue to pay more for petrol in May, while the price of diesel will fall by two fils a litre.

Super 98 petrol will cost AED 3.34 a litre, compared to AED 3.15 in April. 

Special 95 petrol will cost AED 3.22 per litre, up from AED 3.03, while E-Plus 91 petrol will be charged at AED 3.15 a litre, compared to AED 2.96 a litre.

Diesel will see a drop, costing AED 3.07 a litre down from AED 3.09.

Making the announcement, the UAE fuel price committee said the new rates will apply from May 1.
