UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call on Tuesday from Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, during which he welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed hope that the agreement would lay the groundwork for greater peace, security and stability across the Middle East, and stressed the importance of ensuring its success.
He also reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting peace and regional security initiatives.
Pezeshkian thanked the UAE for its solidarity following recent Israeli military actions targeting Iranian territory.
