UAE highlights climate, development action at UN Forum

The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development and international cooperation during the UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).

Abdulla Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange and Chair of the UAE National Committee on Sustainable Development Goals, delivered the country’s statement where he emphasised the UAE’s focus on advancing practical solutions to accelerate progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He highlighted how UAE is actively contributing to global sustainability through innovation and collaboration - from leading global efforts to combat environmental crime in the Amazon Basin to restoring marine ecosystems, empowering females and expanding global knowledge exchange.

He also underscored that collective action and international cooperation remain essential to building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
