The UAE has once again reiterated the immediate need for a ceasefire in Gaza during the UN General Assembly meeting on Monday.
In its statement, the UAE stressed the UN Council’s responsibility to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire resolution during the holy month of Ramadan.
It also stressed the need to provide protection for civilians and workers, and to bring humanitarian aid into Gaza urgently, "within a wide scope, and without obstacles".
The UAE added that ending the war is the way to address its disastrous consequences.
During today's UN General Assembly meeting on the use of the veto, the UAE emphasized that any draft resolution from the Council must include a call for an immediate ceasefire. Ending the war on Gaza is the only way to address its catastrophic consequences.
