Three establishments have been shut down and five others fined during the latest round of inspections by Dubai Municipality.
The closure orders were issued to a cafe and a fitness centre due to overcrowding.
A laundry was also asked to close for violating health and personal hygiene guidelines.
Meanwhile, warnings were issued to 38 other outlets during the checks that covered a total of 2,397 entities.
