A private school in Dubai has reduced its tuition fees by up to AED 10,000 for the next academic year.
That's right. GEMS Wellington Academy Al Khail announced the reductions for grades FS1 up to Year 11, much to the delight of its parent community.

The school secured a 'Good' rating in Knowledge and Human Development Authority's (KHDA) annual report card for 2017-18.
A GEMS Education spokesperson told ARN News that the fee reductions were to bring more consistency across the GEMS Wellington family of schools.
The statement said, "Based on parent feedback and as part of our effort to bring more consistency and cohesion across the GEMS Wellington family of schools, GEMS Education has decided to make the school fees at GEMS Wellington Academy, Al Khail in line with those of the Wellington brand’s flagship school, GEMS Wellington InternationalSchool.
GEMS Education places great importance in providing quality education and excellent opportunities for all of its students, which will in no way be affected by the reduction in fees for families of the school."
