The UAE health authorities have confirmed six new cases of COVID-19.
The six patients - two Russians, two Italians, one German and one Colombian - are in a stable condition and being monitored as per the guidelines set by the World Health Organisation.
According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), the individuals were in contact with the previous cases linked to the UAE Tour.
This brings the total number of cases to 27, including five who have fully recovered.
"All individuals within the two quarantined hotels that had no direct contact with athletes and their administrative teams were examined, and that those that tested negative for the coronavirus were allowed to leave the hotel premises," a statement from the ministry added.
"Individuals currently quarantined will be "re-examined and tested for the virus to ensure their utmost safety."
