President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 737 prisoners, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
His Highness also guaranteed the payment of any outstanding financial liabilities.
The announcement is within the framework of the humanitarian initiatives of the UAE, based on the values of forgiveness and tolerance, and to give inmates an opportunity to rebuild their lives.
A number of prisoners are released each year on the occasion of Eid al-Adha in order to strengthen family ties.
