Nominations for the first edition of the Dubai-it Award open on August 10, recognising individuals, projects and organisations that have turned ambitious ideas into tangible results in Dubai.
The nomination period will run until September 10 and is open to individuals, projects, companies, organisations and other entities, which can nominate themselves or others.
Launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, the award is based on the Dubai-it initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The initiative reflects Dubai's philosophy of turning ambitious ideas into achievements and delivering results with excellence and speed.
The award has three main recognition segments covering individuals, projects, and institutions and companies.
Nominations can be submitted across 10 fields: Government, Real Estate, Economy, Business, Technology, Sports, Society, Education, Services and Health.
For the inaugural edition, eligible achievements can include projects, initiatives and transformations delivered during the past four years. From the second edition onwards, nominations will cover achievements from the previous 24 months.
Applicants are required to provide details of the achievement, the challenge or opportunity behind it, how it was implemented and the results and impact it produced. Supporting evidence can include performance data, reports, images, media material and certificates.
Entries will be assessed on criteria including the significance of the achievement, quality and speed of delivery, measurable results, impact, sustainability and its potential to provide a model for others.
Nominations can be submitted through the Dubai-it Award's digital platform until September 10.
