More wet weather has been forecast for parts of the UAE this week, with the peak of the stormy conditions expected from Wednesday night through Thursday.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said that the country will be influenced by the extension of a surface low-pressure system.
It has predicted rain of varying intensities during the first part of the week (until Wednesday daytime) with "a probability of hail over Eastern areas and extending over some internal and Western areas".
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by lightning and thunder, and possibly hail, are expected by Wednesday night, starting from the West.
Similar conditions will then extend to most areas of the country on Thursday, mainly centered over western, coastal and some Eastern areas.
The cloud cover will gradually decrease on Friday and Saturday but some Southern and Eastern areas could experience light to moderate rainfall.
