KhalifaSat captures stunning photo of Makkah

WAM

A UAE satellite has captured a stunning shot of the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

The image was taken by KhalifaSat on the first day of Eid Al Adha during the Hajj pilgrimage.

KhalifaSat was fully developed by Emirati engineers and was launched into space in October 2018.

With five patents and seven space innovations, it’s the most advanced satellites of its kind in the world.

The high-resolution images provided by KhalifaSat help organisations monitor environmental changes, detect the effects of global warming, and also aid relief efforts during natural disasters.
