A national programme on innovation and entrepreneurship will soon be integrated into the curriculum of higher education institutions in the UAE. It follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The new programme has been developed in collaboration with Stanford University. It comes into effect from January 2016, and is applicable to both public and private universities in the country. The move is seen as a crucial step towards achieving the objectives of the National Innovation Strategy and UAE Vision 2021.
