H.H. Sheikh Mohammed meets Egyptian President

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is in Cairo to mark 50 years of UAE-Egypt ties.

He praised the depth of the relations between the two countries and hailed the leadership and the people of Egypt.

Sheikh Mohammed also held talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

"Egypt has been with us since the beginning. It was, and will remain the bond, the treasure and the brother that we cannot do without," Sheikh Mohammed said on Twitter.

Celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of bilateral ties between the UAE and Egypt are taking place in Cairo.

Around 1,800 Emirati and Egyptian personalities, including ministers, politicians, senior officials, businessmen, intellectuals, creators, media professionals and public figures are attending the events that run until Friday.
