As many as 836 prisoners of various nationalities will be released from Dubai's correctional facilities ahead of Eid Al Adha.
It follows the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The move reflects His Highness’s commitment to bringing relief to families and giving the inmates a chance to rebuild their lives.

Earlier, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, ordered the release of 227 prisoners, while His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, ordered the release of 230 inmates.
