His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minster and Defence Minister, has emphasised that empowering young Emiratis with future-ready skills is key to building a sustainable, knowledge-driven economy.
Speaking at a gathering of over 100 participants in the 'Al Nokhba' Programme, Sheikh Hamdan reiterated the UAE’s long-standing commitment to investing in its people.
He highlighted that Emirati talent is not only keeping pace with global innovation, but helping lead it.
The 'Al Nokhba' programme launched by the National Service and Reserve Authority in partnership with the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications Office, Dubai Future Foundation, and Khalifa University, focuses on advanced training in emerging fields like robotics, data science, AI and biotechnology.
Participants presented a range of innovative graduation projects, including desert-ready robotics, satellite control systems, sustainable building materials, and AI-powered marine navigation tools.
Since its launch in 2019, the programme has trained and placed over 200 recruits, all of whom found employment shortly after graduation - reinforcing the impact of national efforts to prepare Emiratis for leadership in critical technology sectors.
