Fourth UAE aid shipment arrives in Nepal

The UAE has delivered another shipment of humanitarian aid to Nepal, as it steps up support for communities affected by devastating floods and landslides.

The fourth UAE relief aircraft arrived in Nepal carrying around 38 tonnes of aid, including 500 tents and 108 relief packages.

The latest shipment brings the total amount of humanitarian aid sent by air to Nepal to around 186 tonnes.

The supplies include food, shelter and medical items, along with essential relief and logistical equipment.

The aid is being distributed in coordination with Nepalese authorities, based on urgent needs on the ground.

Nepal’s Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Mahabir Pun, praised the UAE’s continued support, saying the assistance is helping people affected by the disaster and supporting relief efforts in affected areas.

Meanwhile, a Dubai Police search and rescue team continues to operate in the affected areas alongside Nepalese authorities.

The UAE says its ongoing response reflects its commitment to providing rapid humanitarian assistance and supporting communities affected by natural disasters.
