Abu Dhabi Police and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority have responded to a fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon at a building under construction on Al Reem Island.
Authorities said teams were deployed to the scene and worked to bring the blaze under control, while the surrounding area was evacuated as a precaution. Residents and the public were urged to stay away to allow emergency crews full access.
