Etihad Rail Freight keeps UAE supply chains moving

Abu Dhabi Media Office

Etihad Rail says its freight services across the UAE’s railway network continue to operate normally, ensuring the uninterrupted movement of goods and supporting the resilience of national supply chains.

Over the past nine days alone, Etihad Rail Freight — a subsidiary of Etihad Rail — has operated more than 100 freight train trips, transporting over 459,000 tonnes of cargo and more than 7,900 containers across the network.

The railway continues to provide reliable connections between key industrial zones, ports and logistics hubs across the country.

To further strengthen network resilience, additional rail corridors have been activated, with intermodal capacity redeployed to East Coast ports.

The Al Ghail Dry Port Rail Terminal has also been supported with five additional train services.

Etihad Rail says operations remain fully aligned with established safety and operational protocols, as the company continues to coordinate closely with relevant authorities and monitor developments across the region.
