The Dubai Tram marks a significant milestone today, celebrating its 10th anniversary since launching in 2014.
Over the past decade, the tram has served more than 60 million passengers and covered 6 million km, cementing its status as a key part of Dubai's public transport network.
With a 99.9% punctuality rate and a strong focus on safety, the tram has become a preferred and reliable mode of transport for both residents and visitors.
The Dubai Tram route spans 11 stations along Al Sufouh Road, connecting popular destinations such as Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina and JBR, with a complete journey time of 42 minutes.
The tram is seamlessly integrated with other modes of transport in Dubai, including the Metro, buses, taxis and cycling tracks, aligning with the city’s goal of making public transport the top choice for getting around.
Leading the way in innovation, the Dubai Tram is the first system in the world to feature automatic platform doors for enhanced safety. It also operates without overhead wires, using a ground-level power supply system, and offers fully air-conditioned stations to ensure comfort year-round.
With 11 modern tram cars, each offering a choice of Gold, Silver and dedicated cabins for women and children, the tram caters to a variety of passenger needs.
The tram's operations are monitored around the clock from a central control centre, ensuring smooth service and quick responses to any technical issues.
As one of Dubai's flagship transport projects, the Dubai Tram continues to symbolize the city’s commitment to innovation, safety and sustainability, delivering a modern, efficient transport solution.
