Dubai’s Event Security Committee has implemented comprehensive safety measures for Eid Al Fitr.
The preparations were reviewed during a coordination meeting, chaired by Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police.
The plan covers all Eid activities across the emirate, including securing mosques for prayers and increasing patrols on major roads, in tourist areas, shopping centres, open markets and public spaces, in coordination with the Roads and Transport Authority.
A large-scale deployment will see hundreds of security and rescue patrols, marine units, helicopters and emergency response teams positioned across the city, supported by control centres, ambulances and public transport services to manage movement during the holiday.
Authorities say the command-and-control centre will operate around the clock to handle emergencies, with residents urged to call 999 in urgent cases or 901 for non-emergencies.
They are also reminding motorists to follow traffic rules and avoid reckless driving, while beachgoers and jet ski users are urged to stay vigilant and keep a safe distance from family areas.
Parents are warned not to allow children to use fireworks due to the risk of injury and fire hazards. Officials say the measures aim to ensure a safe and enjoyable Eid for all.
