One person has been injured in a 28-vehicle pileup in Dubai.
According to Dubai Police, the accident took place on Emirates Road (E611) bringing traffic to a halt.
Officials clarified that the incident happened early morning on Tuesday, when foggy conditions blanketed the emirate’s skies.
Authorities are once again reminding the public to drive cautiously especially on bad weather days and to keep a safe distance between themselves and the vehicle in front of them.
Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic Police, also urged motorists to use low-beam lights and to use their indicators when changing lanes.
“Allow extra time for your journey and check your planned route. It’s also advisable to wait for the fog to clear until visibility improves,” he said.
