Dubai launches smart devices at pedestrian crossings

Dubai has launched its first-ever smart device at pedestrian crossings to catch reckless drivers.

According to Dubai Police, the initiative will help identify motorists who fail to give way to people crossing the road. 

Officials have clarified that the new solution will be fitted with a red signal which will warn drivers to stop. 

Motorists who fail to do so will be captured on camera and fined for the violation.
