Dubai Municipality has chalked out an integrated action plan to ensure the cleanliness of the city and maintain public hygiene services during Eid Al Fitr holidays.
As many as 2,300 cleaners from the municipality will work across four shifts to handle hygiene services across the emirate.
They will be supported by 650 cleaners who have been outsourced from the private sector to focus on tourist, industrial and desert areas.
A team of 250 supervisory employees will monitor hygiene duties and emergency field communications, while an 84-member field team will be tasked with keeping Dubai's public beaches clean.
The municipality has also deployed 752 vehicles, equipment and machinery for routine field programmes and emergencies.
Waste management teams have already carried out effective cleaning operations across all 10 Eid prayer grounds in the emirate, while additional garbage cans have been placed near mosques, event venues and crowded areas, along with 30 extra waste storage facilities to cover emergency situations.
As part of our preparations of Eid Al Fitr holiday, #DubaiMunicipality has announced its plan to manage sanitation operations and community services related to sustainable waste management, aiming to ensure cleanliness across all roads.#DubaiMoreLiveable #EidAlFitr pic.twitter.com/AKBOc1KkaC
