Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has carried out more than 7,000 field visits and 11 inspection campaigns across the Dubai Metro and Tram right-of-way, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance safety and protect rail infrastructure.
A total of 7,129 field visits were conducted in 2025, identifying technical issues that were immediately addressed to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations.
Mohammed Al Ameeri, Director of Rail Right-of-Way at the RTA, said the authority also worked with developers and relevant entities on 11 inspection campaigns covering all lines and stations.
These focused on compliance with safety standards, infrastructure readiness, and contractor performance within the Railway Protection Zone.
He added that the initiative is part of a broader strategy to protect rail assets, enforce regulations and strengthen coordination with stakeholders.
The RTA says it will continue regular monitoring and awareness programmes to maintain high safety standards and support a reliable, sustainable public transport network across Dubai.
