Dubai Ambulance has launched a new sanitising facility for its employees to help paramedics safeguard against infection.
The ‘Self-Sanitisation Walk’ is installed outside their accommodation next to thermal screening equipment.
It sprays a mist that disinfects clothes and shoes in less than 20 seconds and is the first of its kind in the UAE. The device also has hand sanitisers.
By detecting movements automatically, the device only starts spraying only when a person passes through it.
The new device helps paramedics safeguard against infection that may be transmitted on their clothes during the course of working with confirmed and suspected cases of COVID-19.
