Nearly one-fifth of accidents on UAE roads occur because of brake failure. That’s according to Quick Registration, the vehicle testing and registration centre in Dubai, who also say that brake failure is the second most common reason for automobiles not passing the technical vehicle tests. The centre have therefore launched an initiative to raise awareness of the issue, the Friday Brake Campaign. As part of the initiative, all UAE drivers will be offered the opportunity to test their vehicle’s brakes free of charge.
