That's the message from the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai, which has registered 38 fund-raising violations in the emirate in the first half of this year.
More than AED 32,000 was collected from unauthorised donation boxes during this period.
Authorities have urged residents not to collect, promote or receive donations without official permits.
The fine for engaging in such activities ranges from AED 250,000 to AED 500,000.
