All economic, tourism, cultural and entertainment activities in the capital are set to fully resume within two weeks.
In a statement, Abu Dhabi Media Office said the move is in response to the successful efforts by the authorities to "maintain a low percentage of confirmed cases per total tests conducted in the emirate".
The Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters Committee for COVID-19 pandemic has now started to work with all concerned and relevant authorities to kickstart the process.
They will also review and enhance the precautionary and preventive measures currently in place.
Active tracing and mass testing across the emirate, free tests for communities with high population density and fortnightly checks for workers in vital sectors will continue, with authorities urging the public to remain vigilant and responsible.
