Abu Dhabi’s education regulatory body is doing their bit to support frontline healthcare workers as they fight the coronavirus.
They have launched an academic programme for children of doctors and nurses at the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, wherein a team of educators will create exclusive, one-on-one lessons in Arabic, Maths, English and Science.
It’s aimed at making students feel supported while they study remotely, with additional help in completing school assignments and projects.
Students from kindergarten to Grade 6 are eligible for the programme, Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) said in a statement, adding that it’ll run until the end of the current academic year in June.
Brigitte Howarth, Associate Professor, teaching and researching in ecology at Zayed University, talks about how children determine where they need help.
