Kanye West has asked for a conviction for attacking a photographer to be erased from his record. The 'All Day' rapper submitted a no contest plea to misdemeanour battery in 2014 over an incident at LAX airport the year before and was placed on 24 months probation and ordered to perform 250 hours of community service. Now, having completed more than the required number of hours at Los Angeles Trade Tech's fashion school and staying out of trouble for two years, Kanye - who has children North, two, and Saint, three months, with wife Kim Kardashian West - is eligible to have the conviction expunged and according to TMZ, he has already filed legal papers asking the judge to wipe his record. A decision has yet to be made. These days, the 38-year-old star has a more amicable relationship with photographers and last week even got a lift from a paparazzo after the vehicle he ordered through cab app Uber failed to arrive. As he walked towards the pile of photographers lingering outside a fitness facility, the rapper clutched his phone as he looked around for the motor he'd rented. He pondered, "Where is this black sedan? before adding to the paps, "Hang on one second. [I] Uber everywhere." The photographer filming the fashion designer immediately offered to give him a lift to "wherever" he needs to go. Kanye replied as a smile spread across his face: "I don't need Uber anymore. I just have the paps take me where I want to go! I'll ride with you then. come on, let's go!" The 'Only One' singer hopped in the front seat of the photographer's car before he politely asked the other paparazzo - who was sitting in the backseat - to stop filming him while he made a quick phone call.
