Jeremy Clarkson has disclosed that he underwent a heart procedure following a "sudden deterioration" in his health.
The 64-year-old British TV personality described experiencing symptoms like clamminess, chest tightness, and pins and needles in his left arm after returning from a holiday.
Clarkson, who was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford by ambulance, had a stent fitted to open blocked arteries. He noted that while he wasn't having a heart attack, the situation was serious enough to warrant immediate medical attention.
Reflecting on his holiday on his newspaper article, Clarkson mentioned struggling with physical activities and feeling unwell upon returning home.
After tests ruled out a heart attack, it was found that one artery was completely blocked while another was close to obstruction.
Now recovering, Clarkson expressed gratitude for the medical staff and humorously pondered how to make celery interesting in his diet. This health scare follows his recent decision to quit smoking after contracting pneumonia.
